Designing Personal Games that Matter

The medium of video games allows players to experience not only grandiose battles where they get to save the world, but also intimate and personal lives that help them to see the world in a new way. The artists behind the emotional games “That Dragon, Cancer”, “Neverending Nightmares”, and the IGF-nominated “MARCH” talk about their personal experiences, what drove them to make it into a game, and why they think that games are the best medium to tell their autobiographical stories.
